Sunny King was the first stop for us on the PRT. It was a cold and wet race, unfortunately we missed the key breakaways but were able to walk away with a 9th place from Ben in the field sprint. The Piedmont RR the next day was a similar story, although we again missed a key breakaway Connor was able to snag a 7th place in the field sprint.
Joe Martin marked our first UCI stage race as a professional team. It was a growing and learning experience across the board. We had a bit of tough luck with some illness but were able to get Corey a 13th place finish on stage 2 and a top 30 in GC.
Gila lived up to its reputation of being one of the toughest stage races in the US. Although we didn’t have any stand out results we gained experience and grew closer as a team.
At Dana Point the team rode extremely aggressive trying to establish a breakaway. Several of our guys were able to get up the road but nothing stayed away for more than a few laps. In the sprint Connor was able to surf rival teams lead out trains to come away with a 6th place finish!
Redlands was the last stop for us on our trip across the country. On the extremely challenging stage 2 Corey was able to get a 12th place finish. And on the following day Oliver was in a late race break that looked extremely promising but was brought back at the last minute, even so Connor was able to sprint his way to a top 20 finish.
We stopped at the Grand Canyon, Arizona; Cadillac Ranch & The Big Texan Steakhouse in Amarillo, Texas; The Big Dam Bridge in Little Rock, Arkansas; Talladega Speedway in Talladega, Alabama.
